a teaser for my upcoming film, EPIC JAVA.

Febian and Arie started this as a personal project to discover the mystery of Java. The goal is to make Java looks beyond its beauty by presenting a mysterious dreamy atmosphere like you never see before. It is also executed to create a photographic visual with great music, highlighting the surroundings that focus on nature, death, tradition, mysteries, and solitude.

This footage was taken between Dec 29th ‘11 until Jan 2nd ‘12 using Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 550D. We had an adventurous escapade around Yogyakarta, riding our rented motorcycle to go places including Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Temple, Borobudur Temple, Kidul Mountain’s hidden beauty, Kaliadem - Merapi Mountain (the most active volcano in Indonesia), Parangtritis Beach , Klayar Beach (located 70+ km from the city of Yogyakarta and one of the most epic beaches in south coast of Java), etc. we have to say this was one of the most exhausting shooting trips we had ever done, but we had a blast filming it.
